University of Minho Hosts Science Café for World Energy Day under Project GreenLight
The University of Minho (U Minho), Portugal, successfully organized a Science Café event under the Project GreenLight, celebrating World Energy Day.
The event, titled “Recharging Batteries: From the Coffee Cup to the Electric Car”, took place on February 13 at 21:30 and brought together participants interested in energy innovation and sustainability.
The session featured Prof. Dr. Carlos M. Costa as the main speaker, who explored the connection between everyday energy use and advanced technologies such as electric vehicles. The discussion highlighted how energy storage and efficiency play a crucial role in the transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
The event was moderated by Prof. Dr. Mário Rui C. Pereira, who facilitated an engaging and interactive dialogue among participants. Through this Science Café, attendees had the opportunity to better understand the importance of energy choices and their impact on environmental sustainability.
