GREENLIGHT: Generating Renewable Energy Education Network Leading Initiatives for Green & Harmonious Tomorrows

The 3rd International meeting concluded in Patras, Greece.

The third transnational project meeting was held from May 31 to June 2, 2025, in Patras, Greece, under the coordination of Liofyllo. Throughout the three-day programme, the consortium partners engaged in a comprehensive review of the project's current progress and held in-depth discussions regarding the planning and implementation of forthcoming activities.

The GREENLIGHT Project, within the scope of which the transnational meeting was organized, was successfully held in the city of Patras, Greece. The three-day meeting brought together the project partners, significantly contributing to the development of activities related to STEM education, sustainability, and energy.

The meeting began with the welcome of the participants by the host organization Liofyllo, and the opening session took place on June 1st at the Airotel Achaia Beach Hotel. Following the opening speeches, Marija Rashkovska from NikolaKarev presented the results of WP3.4, which focused on the pilot implementation of e-modules and e-games. It was emphasized that feedback from students and teachers played an important role in improving the digital learning materials.

Within the scope of the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on WP4 and WP5. The WP4 session, led by Liofyllo, addressed the structure and content of the upcoming workshops for students and teachers. Cooperation with Universidade do Minho for the integration of STEM learning scenarios was emphasized. Later in the day, the content of the three-day green energy-themed workshops was restructured with a common approach among the partners.

The second day of the meeting took place at the Department of Physics of the University of Patras. Scientific and educational activities were presented to the participants. The work of the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics and the INTERREG EUROMED “Germ of Life” project were introduced. In addition, the activities of the Solar Energy Laboratory and the INTERREG IPA ADRION “FENESTRAE” project were presented. The participants visited meteorological stations and had the opportunity to observe environmental data collection processes on site. In the afternoon, a visit to the Water House was conducted, where sustainable water use practices and educational approaches to environmental awareness were explored.

On the final day, the partners worked collaboratively on finalizing the STEM lesson plans and reached an agreement on a common structure and content. Within the scope of WP5, dissemination activities, promotional strategies, and visual materials were discussed. In addition, the final version of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was presented, clarifying the roles and responsibilities of the partners. Updates on the project bulletin and the academic article were also shared.

The meeting concluded with an evaluation session and a certificate ceremony. Cooperation among the partners was strengthened, and important decisions were made for the further development of the project outcomes. The meeting in Patras was considered a significant step toward achieving the objectives of the GREENLIGHT Project in the fields of education, sustainability, and international cooperation.
